Easter 2009

Easter sure is fun for James when he gets his Easter basket he’s about as happy as can be. This Easter we spent most of the time outdoors. James is learning the value of money and got a basketball piggy bank which works right into that theme. His main concern is quarters for the gumball and tattoo machines that we see when leaving restaurants and stores.

Easter 2008

We welcomed back a couple “pretty birds” since the first pretty bird died this year, a new pet is always a fun item to add to our Easter day. And yes, that is a guillotine in the picture, doesn’t everyone have one of these? We brought out the Huggum dolls for the event as well, they always add a little flavor to the atmosphere.

The Easter Basket

My name is Margaret Ann Kleiber I’m the oldest of three children of Charles and Loretta Kleiber. In 1960 my brother Chuckie J Kleiber was born. Our Dad on my brother’s first Christmaas said there will be no hanging of stockings, no Santa Clause, no Easter Bunny, no Halloween just here and now. (more…)

Easter 2007

We really went all out this year, bringing out the dolls to celebrate with us. It was a multi holiday event with James in his Halloween costume and the Christmas Huggums dolls and everyone had fun. His relatives really went way out as well with the presents, there was even a little motorized motorcycle in this years gift list. Thanks to everyone who helped make this such a memorable experience and hopefully we can keep James from eating all the candy the first day.

The chocolate bunny is sort of a tradition in our household, our Aunt Louise once took us to a drive in and brought a chocolate bunny to eat. However she had kept it in the freezer and we could not cut the thing, even with a knife. It was a very funny experience and a great memory for us.

Easter 2006

This was James third Easter and he had so many different things to play with I think he got Easter confused with Christmas. A great time was had by all and the weather was so nice that James could go outside and play if he wanted to.

We had a mini Easter egg hunt for him, something we are always prepared to do but rarely due because the weather can be pretty unfriendly in Michigan even as late as April and May. However this year the weather delivered and James had his Easter egg hunt.

The picture with the Easter bunny was taken about a week or so before Easter at the Fairlane mall. It was taken after the Elmo meeting so as far as James was concerned the Easter bunny was anti-climatic. He wouldn’t be saying that if he knew who was bringing him his baskets and it sure ain’t Elmo but who am I to question the wisdom of a 2 year old.

Easter 2005

James didn’t really understand his first Easter being about 7 months old, but he sure made up for lost time this year. James got wonderful Easter gifts from his Aunts and had a blast opening up his Easter basket.

We also finished work on the Halloween display, just in time for Easter (you have to be related to me to understand that I think).

The weather was nice so we let him run around a bit out back, he is walking and running real good, but the back yard is so unlevel he keeps falling down. We’ll get some quotes on leveling it out professionally since I doubt I could do a project that big.
